Karma Laws - "By The Window" (Prod. by Emani)

June 10, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop

Mixed & Mastered by N3 On The Track

“Seeing the falseness of society is the reason I made this, its too much impurity and genetically modified thinking, from falseness being a Melinated being. I know that white supremacy is alive is so is hatred towards self, and stereotypical views towards Melinated beings, self hatred was taught you don’t grow into that, truth is what I spread while truly realizing my own higher frequency of vibration to enlighten, grow, and not destroy one Love enjoy #KarmaLawsMusic

p.s never mind the explicit content logo I don’t use curse words or bad language in any of my music I’m too lyrical for that”

Big Zay Mack - Swang And Bang III

May 22, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop, Rap

Big Zay Mack hails from Columbus, Mississippi. Most music from the south has been saturated with "Trap" sounds or drug influencing music. Not Big Zay Mack. His music reminds you of the music of old. You hear some UGK to Mississippi's own Big K.R.I.T. in his brand of music. This is definitely car cruising music. He claims "King Of Trunk Music" and with his sounds, you can tell why.

Lafa Taylor - Ridin' Slow

May 11, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Future Pop, Hip-Hop, Rap

Spring is here, get in the car, but don't drive too fast, enjoy the ride, we've been waiting all winter long to ride with the windows down. Our soundtrack is the newest single, "Ridin' Slow," by Lafa Taylor from his upcoming release Ridin' Slow: A Collection of Songs to Ride to set to drop this summer on Mixto Music.

The title track and lead single comes out today, produced by the 15 year old ORDNRY YNGSTR, whom Taylor discovered on Soundcloud. The track showcases Lafa's soulful vocals alongside his established flow and comparisons sonically to Anderson Paak, Miguel and Drake are inevitble Lafa remains in his own lane and continues to not be easily pinned down by genre.

Lafa Taylor’s 2017 has already seen the vocalist and MC featured on the record breaking trailer for The Fast and the Furious with his collaboration with Bassnectar, his recent single Run to Me with Aabo was remixed by 2017 Grammy nominee starRo and with his first solo EP of 2017 on deck alongside a summer of festival appearances this song maybe the only thing slow with Lafa's career and year.

Pool Cosby - Blind Gold (feat. Raekwon)

April 30, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop, Rap

Consisting of producer Jacuzzi Jefferson, violinist Kevin Kuh, and drummer Otto Botté, Sample-based electronic band Pool Cosby first demonstrated their versatility and strength as a trio through singles like “Little Do They Know” and “Lookin’ Up,” tastefully merging the worlds of hip-hop and electronic through dreamy builds, luscious synths, and soulful choruses. Staying true to their roots, their journey led them to a collaboration with legendary rapper Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan on “A Poem Is A Hustle,” at the end of the 2016 and to their biggest achievement yet, their debut album ‘Blind Gold,’ out today.

Prefacing the rest of the album is an introduction from Brian Jackson, whose music has been sampled by many artists including 2Pac, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar. Many musical treats await listeners throughout the 13-track album, including the luscious single “Touch” from South Korean singer/song-writer DUVV, which showcases a delightful piano-led melody and glittering synths, and collaborations with Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, who Rolling Stone praised single “The Last Huzzah” featured El-P, Kool A.D., Heems, Danny Brown, and Despot.

“A Poem Is A Hustle” is the 6th single on the album, which in addition to Raekwon’s edgy, lyrical style features siblings Elena and Samora Pinderhughes, who has made a real name for himself in the jazz world, recently having performed with Common, Bilal and Robert Glasper for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert at the White House. Further delving into their verse driven beats is a collaboration with Das Racist’s Kool A.D. on “Where Do We Go From Here” and on “Please.” Ending the album on a soulful note, “Lanikai” will leave you floating on a cloud with charming vocal chops and softly plucking instrumentals.

Delightful to the ears and calming for the soul, ‘Blind Gold’ showcases the chill and alternative Pool Cosby sound that leaves you with a yearning sense of nostalgia and happy memories.

Malik Ninety Five - Need to Know

April 16, 2017 by N3 On The Track in Music, Hip-Hop, Rap

New Orleans artist Malik Ninety Five has been on fire since he began prepping the release of his highly anticipated new album, The Paradise Project. And the excitement for that project only intensifies with “Need to Know,” his moody and melodic new single that’s sure to become an anthem for anyone who prefers working alone.

Despite the hook’s lonesome (and addictive) message of “Smokin’, plottin’, just doin’ things on my own,” the track is very much a collaboration with fellow NO artists CLBTS and Westline. Both artists co-produced the track alongside Malik, who again proves that his talents extend beyond the booth.

Clearly, the kid can spit and sings better than some cats who focus on one or the other, something we’ve already heard in preceding joints “Link Up” and “Right Now.” But there’s a darker, more thoughtful quality to “Need to Know” that makes it all the more unique and refreshing. Malik’s message of doing things on his own doesn’t come across as contrived or false, either. You instead get the sense that he’s been let down by those close to him—perhaps a relationship that went south—and wants to focus on getting his while he can.

“Need to Know” is now available through all major digital retailers and streaming outlets. Keep an eye out for more content in promotion of The Paradise Project, which is set to drop this summer!
