Singer-Songwriter Veronica King Releases a Romantic, Sensual Music Video for Her Debut Single "Ice Cream Sundae"

A beautiful product of Panamanian-American heritage, singer-songwriter Veronica King rehashes classic, soulful R&B with a silken voice that conjures nostalgic vibes, prompts good times, and ignites familiarity. Her debut single, “Ice Cream Sundae”, captures the essence of a fun-loving, teenage love affair, while simultaneously evoking the sensuality of a mature, romantic relationship. The music video for “Ice Cream Sundae” takes the story of the song a step further from the point of view of a young man taking Veronica out on several romantic outings. The visuals combined with the lyrics demonstrate how he makes her laugh, smile, experience complete bliss while they are together, and, of course, “melt like an ice cream sundae” from his expressions of love.

“Ice Cream Sundae” was conceived when a producer from Jazmine Sullivan’s last album, Reality Show, connected with King and her writing team through social media. The instrumentation stirred their imaginations to the experience of falling in love. After some dedicated writing sessions, King and her team were motivated to push forward with this radio-ready ballad.

Heavily influenced by the musical genius of Stevie Wonder, Bob James, Donny Hathaway, Michael Jackson, and the late Aaliyah, Veronica King hones in on creating a unique and unforgettable sound that blends her eclectic, musical taste with Electronica and the sounds of today. Veronica is an explorer, thinker, dreamer – and her music dares to touch on love, both lost and found, passion, and life’s trying obstacles. In this way, Veronica King celebrates positivity in all aspects of her life and allows her music to precede her and inspire others.

Teamed up with DCTOP20, the songstress looks forward to hitting the stage this 2017 and making waves domestically and overseas. Corey Ellis was born in Augusta, Maine on March 13, 1992. He is one of four kids. He started rapping when he was in 1st grade with his brothers and friends on the playground. He moved with his mom to Brunswick, Maine and went to Brunswick High School. Later He moved to Bangor, Maine where he attended Husson University and finished his college degree in the field of Marketing.

Javi is an R&B artist originally from Stoneham, Massachusetts who allows his emotions to run through his music, which in turn connects him to his fans on a stronger level than most artists. With his first release Champagne and Hennesy being released earlier this year. He is well on his way looking forward to his next release he has learned a lot and will showcase it to his fans in the only way he knows how.

The two are signed to the indie label Nova Music Group.

"Almost two years ago, I performed a song for Columbia University's Black History Month that I called "Power." The opening line, something I was sure of then, and that I am even more sure of now, was "I've got the power, the power is in my hands, and you, you only wish that you could understand."

Today that message is even more important to remind us all that we deserve good things and that we are the authors of our own story. We have power over our lives that we need to reclaim. I teamed up with my talented friends of the Art Girl Army to create this music video. I'm releasing this video to the public at a party in Brownsville, Brooklyn, as a part of my belief in radical joy. We are offering opportunities to send letters to the electoral college, featuring performers who believe in our message and bringing live artists to embody the message."

Marie Dahlstrøm - Mine [Video]

Copenhagen born and London based singer, songwriter & producer Marie Dahlstrøm hit the scene with her unique twist of alt-R&B when she released her first EP

'Feelings'. The EP catapulted Marie into the industry earning her a whopping three Scandinavian Soul Awards in 2013. Two EP's - and a master in Cognitive Neuroscience of Music later, Marie released her Tom Misch-produced single ‘One More Reason’ and is now back with her single 'Mine', and a full EP dropping later this November.

"This video was so much fun to make. Keita (the choreographer based in Tokyo) had created a routine for Look The Other last year, so when I figured I was going on a mini-tour to Japan, I thought it was a good opportunity to work with him and his dancers face to face. We met up with the Australian videographer Matt De Sousa, and filmed the video in the middle of Shibuya in Tokyo at 4 in the morning.

I edited the video myself when I got back to London, so this video is a perfect memory of Japan."

Fool Boy Marley - Better Man [Video]

Detroit’s Fool Boy Marley hit the ground running by building his name and notoriety from gracing many stages with likes of hip hop heavyweights, like Gucci Mane and Machine Gun Kelly, to touring with Charlie Baltimore and Big Heff’s Midwest Industry tour. After teaming up with BMB Records, he has begun to push out a constant stream of music and viral videos to constantly show off his skills. Today we would like to share his new video for “Better Man,” a thoughtful clip that shows the many sides and talents to Fool Boy Marley.

His hard work is paying off in a big way. He’s getting daily radio spins on stations from California to Miami to Memphis, and of course, Detroit. While some artists celebrate the act of infidelity, the “Better Man” song and video focus instead on his quest for redemption and the self-imposed torment he must go through in order to learn to be the mate he wants to be, and the one she deserves. As the story concludes (you’ll have to watch to find out how it ends!) a quote by Alenna Brown comes across the screen, perfectly capturing the lesson; “Our love is the horizon… For there is never really a true end.”
