Randy P is back with a anthem. This time he brings along his Abstract Campus brother Mitoga. This record feel like im watch Higher Learning for a weird reason. So much soul and knowledge all over. This is the type of hip hop black america needs. This type of hip hop deserves a college course real talk. These guys are putting on for Maryland in a different light. I really like the direction they are heading in
"If you black, then you feel these blues.."
Texas rapper D'Money Turn Up is living by his name. Turning up everywhere he goes. His new record is turning a lot of heads matter of fact. With his much-anticipated compilation LP, Still Commanding Respect, set to drop at the top of 2017, Ran Reed delivers another punishing single, “The Crew,” featuring a scorching guest verse from U.G., with head-nodding production supplied by Nick Wiz. As fans of Reed already know, he and Wiz go way back—peep their Respect The Architect collaboration—so it’s only fitting they’ve teamed up again here
In addition to infusing elements of Das EFX’s classic cut, “Real Hip-Hop,” the true highpoint lies in the chemistry between Reed and his guest feature, U.G. of the Cella Dwellas (who recently dropped his own album, Portals). In addition to dropping their own verses, the two attack the third verse on some bad-guy, tag-team sh*t like a modern-day Harlem Heat (waddup, Booker T?).
Once you’re done listening to “The Crew,” be sure to peep Ran’s previous drop, “Gun Boy Interlude” featuring M.O.P. Other features on the album include Bumpy Knuckles, Kool G Rap, Sadat X, D.V. Alias Khryst, Shabaam Sahdeeq, DJ Modesty, LoVel, and more.
“The Crew” can now be streamed, and is available as the first instant grat track off the iTunes pre-order for Still Commanding Respect. The 20 tack LP is due out January 13th through Reed’s RRM Consulting imprint.

G. London is a young emerging artist/engineer from the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY that’s quickly being noticed for his musical versatility. From melodic tracks for the ladies, to vintage lyrical bars. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Donell Jones, Ryan Leslie and Pharrell Williams to Biggie, Jadakiss, and Nas, he has effectively found a way to mix up the elements and balance it into his own sound. With his well received EP “271” , which released this past October, London aims to showcase his lyrical skill, his knack for melodies, his unorthodox song compositions, and personality.

Los Angeles-based musician Sealy Troh earned considerable traction last year with his collaboration with Casey Veggies, 'See Me', but now he's standing tall on his own with the impressive 'Credits'. Its regal sounding keys and bouncy synths, combined with an addictive chorus, makes for the ideal musical recipe.
Song for the girls that switched up and said they never would. Something to vibe and dance to.
Following the success of his hilarious, over-the-top “Gettin Dough” video, Miami’s Lex One returns with some audio heat in the form of “Real Life Story.” It’s another standout joint off the rapper/producer’s great 2016 album, Gold Plaque, that’ll leave you rushing to hear the full record once the track’s over.
Fellow Floridian Creole supplies the minimalist and hypnotizing production for Lex, who uses it to his advantage as soon as he hits the mic. The beat will leave your head nodding, but it’s the emcee’s vocals and lyrics that keep you engaged. As the track’s title implies, “Real Life Story” provides a look into the reality behind the boasts and brags of the music.
Don’t get it twisted, though, because there’s some great bravado lingering within the raps here, including a slick nod to Busta Rhymes and FlipMode Squad. But Lex balances them with real-life insights and observations, even in subtle ways. Like in the first verse when he drops “I’m too manic” into a bar or later says, “All day I dream about, all the things I been without.” It’s a clever means of getting personal without becoming an open wound, and it also makes for one of Lex’s finest tracks to date.
“Real Life Story” can now be streamed, and can be purchased for download along with the remaining tracks featured on Gold Plaque, which is now available through all major digital retailers, via GTPS.

Coming from a place filled broken dreams and shattered beer bottles aspiring hip hop artist "Kay B" looks to overcome adversity and over ride the statistics of making it out of the "Scenic city". Born as Kelvin L Brown Jr in 1991, The 25 year old hails from The Southside of Chattanooga , Tennessee where dreams often become nightmares due to poverty and other extreme circumstances. Brown began his journey in music at the tender age of 7 when stepfather/former road manager of SliverHawk Records Ronnie Hill gave Brown the opportunity to get his voice heard traveling from Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama to performing which resulted in opening up for Pastor Troy and rap group Goodie Mob in the late 90's.In 2008, at the the age of 17 Brown and longtime friend JaVario Eagle formed the label "Brique garçon Forever" which is French for "BrickBoy" building a strong buzz around the city of Chattanooga which resulted in 2 label offers which both unfortunately failed due to personal matters. Seattle-based Carl Roe pays homage to his former stomping grounds while delivering dizzying raps on his new single, “S. State St.” In addition to featuring funky and slapping production supplied by Nottz, and cuts from DJ Revolution, the track serves as the first preview of Roe’s forthcoming LP, Eleven Chuck.
If you’ve followed Roe’s career just the past few years, you know he’s been on an absolute tear. Either on his own, or with collaborators—like with Ripynt on 2015’s great, Martians—the rapper/producer’s output is nothing short of impressive. And that trend only looks to continue with Eleven Chuck.
The album arrives this November 11th, Veteran’s Day. This is a significant day for Roe, a veteran of US Army, with a total of over eight years of service under his belt. He also has the skills to tussle with any wack rappers who come his way, and they’re all under fire on “S. State St.” More than just bravado, the track serves as a memory of where Roe came from, and what it’s like to go back there—something he teases during the intro with a Talking Heads-like riff .
“S. State St.” can now be streamed, and is available as the first instant grat track off the iTunes pre-order for Eleven Chuck. In addition to DJ Revolution, the 17 track LP includes features from his long time partner in rhyme, Ripynt, as well as Fatal Lucciauno, Mic Handz, Landon Wordswell, and more, and boasts production from Brainstorm, GrandRiggity, Carolinah Blu, and of course Nottz, among others.

New Orleans-bred artist Malik Ninety Five is making some of the most interesting and left field Hip-Hop right now. His latest single, “Link Up,” proves that point by deftly bridging the gap between pulsing early ‘90s Hip house and the more melodic Rap of the past decade.
The track also proves that the 21-year-old rapper/producer is on the cusp of something bigger, though he’s already received notable accolades through coverage by tastemakers Pigeons & Planes and DJ Booth , among others. And if you’re not hip to the kid yet, consider this your opportunity to catch up—and enjoy a good-ass tune while you’re at it.
The music of “Link Up,” which was produced by CLBTS and Malik, is built on driving percussion and a slick flip of the same Isley Brothers sample that heads will instantly recognize (“Between the Sheets”). It’s the ideal setting for the young artist to straight-up float with his smooth cadence and vocals, which reach those super-catchy, earworm levels on the hook.
“Link Up” is now available for stream and download through all major digital retailers, and serves as a sampling of what we can expect from his forthcoming LP, The Paradise Project, which is set to drop April 28th of next year.
