Late night, downtempo hip-hop from Stoke-On-Trent based JLB and Kent/Manchester based r0kitman. Full EP coming this year.
With the release of his first EP, Cody Verbage delivers a sonic blend of R&B & Pop. With the club-ready hype of "Come Thru (Pop That)", and more downtempo title track "East Side", Verbage explores his passion for songwriting in this electrifying project.
Spiffie Luciano released his 9th consecutive mixtape; & in exchange with the typical theme find for projects, he went with the self-title option for a bigger purpose.
This year has been a successful one for the independent artist from South Central. Connected with SODMG artist ReeseMoneyBagz about 5 months back for a remix of Desiigners "Panda" along with a music video that hit over 30k views since then. Then shortly after that an original single with up & coming Bay Area artist Mozzy featuring Poppa XO. Which was shortly followed by yet another single featuring recent Doggystyle Records signee Jooba RC.
I had the opportunity to be behind the scenes at an interview hosted by Refuse Media for Spiffie, & one of his main statements in response to why he self titled this project was:
“I’m giving the world the real me. This is what I really went through & I just want to tell my story the right way.”

"I charm the beat like a snake charmer", Jay Colin expresses as he raps in Swagtastic: a song featuring heavy bass, crazy Borneo strings, some weird flute and lots of swagger. Vintage The Strangest Freaks. Interesting samples, a great beat and the magnificent flow by featured MC Jay Colin. Sounding like Dilated Peoples meets Native Tongues, this song has got guts, depth and musical surprises that are sure to make your head bop.
The Strangest Freaks is a producer duo consisting of Binkbeats and PRY , both from The Netherlands. Swagtastic is the third single from their debut album Thrills Galore.

After making noise this past summer with The EBRO Demo EP, Atlanta’s burgeoning new talent, DAEtrius delivers, “ShowOut,” his latest single that proves he can straight-up spit just as well as he can craft a radio-friendly hit.
And the numbers don’t lie. With limited promotion and warning, DAEtrius dropped the smooth and beyond-catchy track via Soundcloud and quickly amassed over 12,000 streams in just a few days. The hype hasn’t gone unnoticed as the track was just added to Spotify’s ‘Most Necessary’ playlist, which has a dedicated subscription of over 800k followers.
And just as the 22-year-old spitter proved on The EBRO Demo, DAEtrius, alongside his ‘go to’ producer, EpikhPro are showcasing that the South have and will continue to create Hip-Hop with soul and substance. Although “ShowOut” may be guilty for “having too much flavor,” it’s got that richness to it that only cats like his heroes, including T.I. and Andre 3000, can bring to the booth. If this is what DAEtrius has had brewing since dropping his EP, then who knows what we could expect next from the kid. ‘Til then, embrace the final breezy moments of summer and keep “ShowOut” on rotation.
“Show Out” is now available on iTunes and through all other major digital retailers and streaming outlets. And if you plan on being down in Atlanta for A3C, be sure to keep an eye out for DAEtrius who’ll be performing for every day of the five day festival.
