Face of Man - Lavender

"Lavender" is the first single off Face of Man's forthcoming sophomore LP, Bouquet, out on 29 June 2017 on Mr. Records. It's our most personal song, written when I was with my mother in the final stages of her cancer. It explores the mixing of the mundane and the sublime, and the sadness that was cut by the strange beauty of her resilience.

Face of Man is a collaboration between Alex Silva, Jesse Chevan, and Evan Johnson. They joined the Mr. Records family in 2017 for their second LP, Bouquet. For their sophomore release Face of Man continues its project of pop maximalism - high life guitar layered over the subs and crackles of modern pop production, R&B vocal flights nestled into modular art rock structures - with a plaintive, midwestern candor. Thematically, the LP explores female relationships and their variegated forms: the familial, the lustful, and the romantic. Bouquet, despite it's melancholy, lifts the listener with lush, contrasting colors and an impression of gradual unfolding.

"Having already provided the production behind the wonderful "Childhood Dreams", Coucheron has teamed up with fellow Norwegian ARY once more on a brand new single.

"High By The Riverside" is very much the sound of 21st century dance pop; 808s blare across the track, with Coucheron adding an array of speaker-bouncing synths sounds, and adding plenty of drops for good measure.

And then there's the voice of ARY. While her vocals are occasionally given some pitch-bending treatment by Coucheron, the singer is allowed to give her lightest pop vocal to date and it perfectly suits the song's summery vibes.

"I’ve been fortunate to work a lot with ARY this past year, mostly on her stufff," Coucheron tells us. "But in this case we both felt this would be a song for me. I immediately bonded with the storytelling in this song, and felt it belonged in my universe, so I did my best to compliment her beautiful vocals."

Alexa is a 23 year old singer/songwriter based out of Los Angeles, California. She's been writing music/singing for over 10 years. The story behind "Can't Make You Stay":

December 2012. I was watching my dad’s marriage slowly crumble. He wasn’t smiling anymore & I’d catch him staring off into the distance with his mind in knots. I could feel his pain. They had lost trust in each other and forgot what their love used to mean. I showed him the beginning stages of an idea I had started and he lent his heart to the song. At the end, you always think about the beginning...the happy times. This song is saying, “I really do want to grow old with you but if it’s too late then I can’t make you stay".

KUIZZ - Uncool

Fan favourite "Uncool" is the 2nd single off of KUIZZ's debut EP "Till The End" which was released late of last year. Written and produced by KUIZZ, the song details his younger days as the unpopular new kid trying to find his way around being accepted by society but eventually coming to terms that being labeled "uncool' is not a bad thing at all. Melodically reminiscent of Lukas Grahams' "7 Years" and lyrically just as relatable as Alessia Cara's "Scars To Your Beautiful", "Uncool" debuts at a time when shows like "13 Reasons Why" shed a light on the difficulties of acceptance led by a social media driven world.

Until Home - Digging Up Skeletons

Digging Up Skeletons is the lead single from Until Home's upcoming Sophomore EP.

Australian trio Michael Trapp, Clayton Mullins and Matthew Reisinger have been writing music and engaging audiences with an entertaining live show since the release of their debut single in January 2016. About “One Ride”: This song is a story about a very hard day in Washington, D.C. on the anniversary of the passing of a close friend. I had a slight meltdown at work, proceeded to tell nobody, walked outside and all around downtown DC. When I got on the train, I saw the usual sights: people with headphones, cell phones, and tired expressions. I knew if my lil angel was given more time here on earth, he would have been enjoying his ride more than these folks. And for some reason, that gave me peace.

Chiddy Bang - Full Speed Ahead (Prod. Paul Couture)

Talk about a blast from the past. Back when blogs were the go-to music discovery platform, Chiddy Bang – made up of rapper Chiddy and producer Xaphoon Jones – were about as an iconic up-and-coming (frat)rap duo as one could imagine.

Classics like “Opposite of Adults” sampling MGMT’s “Kids” and “Truth” taking on Passion Pit were everyone’s favorites circa 2010.

Things seemed to be heating up for them come 2012, when they released their album Breakfast , but shortly after they disappeared when they broke up in 2013.

Xaphoon Jones continued his production career as Noah Breakfast, working on a number of major records, but it’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Chiddy.

Fast forward to 2017, more than half a decade after they made their first big splash, rapper Chiddy returns to the game with his comeback single, “Full Speed Ahead.” Production on this one is handled by Paul Couture.

Øyvind Weiseth - Inside Our Minds

Øyvind’s brand of guitar driven indie pop perfectly showcases his musical ability.

His previous release ‘Hold On’ was played on radio in the US, Germany, Australia and UK. Before that, ‘Eventyr’ received airplay on Norwegian radio including NRK1, NRK Møre as well as Romsdal radio. At the start of 2016, Øyvind made it to the finals of the renowned Norwegian music competition ‘Musikkprissen’, in which ‘Highasakite’ won in 2011. He then embarked on a nationwide tour before heading to New York City to play at Rockwood Music Hall.

With ‘Inside Our Minds’ Øyvind creates an infectious single which builds towards a crescendo and leaves you wanting more.

EJ & JaySpex - Juice

(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles-based producer and audio engineer JaySpex announces the release of his latest collaboration with hip hop artist and Track Martians CEO, EJ. The fun and energetic track entitled “Juice,” is about people coming together to celebrate and have a good time.

Jacob Hagopian better known by his stage name as JaySpex, is an Armenian-American record producer, audio engineer, songwriter, and composer. At age 10, he was performing beside his father who was an Armenian-American DJ, and at 12 years old, Jacob began to immerse himself in music production. In 2002 Jacob attended the Los Angeles Recording school. Inspired by his neighbor, producer J. Danielz  (KidInk, Tory Lanez, Yung Berg, Nipsey Hussle), he dedicated the next 12 years of his life to studying production and audio engineering while  DJing  events all around Los Angeles.   In 2014, he began creating and  producing his own music, drawing inspiration from some of his favorite producers and fusing his work with middle eastern influences.  In November of 2016, JaySpex was introduced to Track Martians CEO, Recording Artist and seasoned songwriter, EJ (Ne-Yo, Mann, Leon Thomas, Diamond Strawberry). Impressed by Jayspex’s work ethic and production skills, EJ invited JaySpex to join the Track Martians Production team. “Juice,” is the first single from JaySpex and EJ.
